Wreck Dives
Let's discover the wrecks of the Riviera Maya! You can explore Mama Viña in Playa del Carmen, Juan Escutia C-56 in Puerto Morelos and Felipe Xicoténcatl C-53 in Cozumel — all host great marine life: grunts, jack fish, groupers, barracudas, big moray eels, lobsters, stingrays and colorful reef fish.
All have been cleared for divers and have large apertures which allow divers to go inside easily. The Mama Viña and Juan Escutia are reserved for Advanced Open Water divers or equivalent (max depth 26m/85ft).
C-56 "Juan Escutia"
An old military boat sunk by the Mexican Navy in 2000 to create an artificial reef — one of the most beautiful wreck dives of the region!
Great marine life diversity: corals, gorgonian fans, schools of jack fish, groupers, stingrays, barracudas and, most of the time, numerous eagle rays.
Lies at 26m/85ft — for experienced divers only (Advanced Open Water or equivalent). Possible to do two dives on the wreck, or a second dive on a nearby shallow reef.

Mama Viña
An old shrimping boat sunk on purpose in 1995 for divers' enjoyment. The wreck shelters numerous organisms: reef fishes, big moray eels, lobsters, schools of jack fish and barracudas.
Lies at 26m/85ft — for experienced divers only (Advanced Open Water or equivalent). Followed by a colorful reef dive at 12m/40ft.

Felipe Xicoténcatl C-53
An old US Navy boat, sold to the Mexican Navy, later donated to the Cozumel underwater park and sunk on purpose in 1999. It's the largest wreck of the area.
Slightly less marine life due to the close proximity of the reefs, but you'll still observe reef fishes, lobsters and barracudas around and inside the wreck.
Top of the wreck is at only 14m/45ft, which allows Open Water divers to do this dive.

Organisation
Pick up or meeting at 8:30am, transport to the boat location, 2 dives with 30–45 min surface interval, return to your accommodation between 12:30–2pm depending on the dive location.
